NFCC P182/10 TT Report

The sun was shining on a field of 10 riders as they battled the notoriously hilly P182 course in the sweltering heat of a true British heatwave. The course, known for starting at a lower elevation than it finishes, provided a fair challenge for those brave enough to show their face.

Phill Brown employed all the aero-dynamic arsenal he owns to take any advantage he could on the night over close rival Joe Shepherd and managed to turn it into a victory with a 56-second advantage. Phil Wilks (Sotonia) put in a sterling effort on his road bike with a time of 25:29, cutting his time from the earlier NFCC x Sotonia (road bikes only) interclub by over 30 seconds for third quickest on the night. Phil Harris (NFCC) also topped his previous road bike time on the course by 90-seconds for fourth place.

The ladies field was headed by NFCC’s Emma Clayton at 31:55 with NFCC’s Catherine Pascoe taking an astounding near 5-minutes off her time from earlier in the year for second place. Erin Anglim (Private) rounded out the ladies podium in 37:29.
