Club TT Report 4th August

A good turn out this week, reduced slightly by confusion over the advertised course on the South DC web site. A mostly helpful wind, particularly across to Beaulieu, produced some good times. With only one non NFCC rider present, club riders made up the rest of the field, with  newer club riders Mike Akers and Ben Schooling relegating last week’s winner Ray Claridge to third place. Weekend mile eaters Phil Harris, Robert Sweatman and Phil Jones, plus confirmed TTers Richard Parker and Bob Jolliffe and new riders David Pinney, Craig Smith and Ben George made up the rest of the field.

Whilst there won’t be any league awards this year, each race gives an idea of who might be doing well next year. With previous top riders Paul Lockyer taking a year out, and Antony Green retiring due to a heart condition, Aron Kelly is focusing on open events, so the honours could go to the newer riders. Sacha Ring has been noted competing in the Bournemouth Arrow event so may also feature!
