Eleven riders, mainly first claim but also some second claim, took part in the club’s first event this year. A helpful wind direction produced some good times, with Ray Claridge taking the win in 22.37. Slightly lower down the field there were some close times,  Craig Smith just beating Robert Sweatman for 3rd, and by just a second, Phil Jones pipping Phil Harris for 5th place. Stewart Ward rode possibly his last event with the club as he moves from the area, but may return occasionally for a Tuesday evening!

The event went smoothly for most, though Matt Cafferky could not select his big chainring. The 15 next week will go ahead, and be opened up to other clubs.
