Round two of the NFCC Road Bikes Only Time Trial Series saw riders take on a new course for the club this year. P161-1oC is a refreshed version of club stalwart P164, but with revised start and finish locations better suited to keep timekeepers near their vehicles in inclement weather.

Despite it being a warm and sunny afternoon, it wasn’t the weather that hampered riders this evening but the Forest’s resident cows who delayed a number of riders in their efforts. Not only did they block riders on the road, but riders had to dodge the leftovers from yesterdays lunch from the cows kindly spread all over the road on the first corner too! 

Visiting rider Patrick Green (360 RT) was the fastest rider on the night, but aboard a time trial machine rather than a road bike – clocking an impressive time of 22m50s. Another visitor, Ian Vagg (Project 51) was the fastest rider on a road bike in 23m21s, with Guy Smith (NFCC) the fastest rider for the home club in 24m39s. Sien vdP (NFCC) clocked the fastest time of the three female riders on the night, crossing the line in 26m00s, followed by Emma Shepherd (NFCC) 28m10s and Elouise Knight (NFCC) 34m31s.
