NFCC Road Bike TT Series Rd.1: P311/10

The first round of the inaugural NFCC Road Bike TT Series was held under a threatening sky on the P311/10 course from Ringwood. A bumper crop of 21 riders signed on and despite the threats of rain in the air, everyone managed to stay dry.

The out and back course to Sopley was embellished with a delightful headwind to start, only to assist those with weary legs on the return section. Visiting rider Dave Dent completed the course in the shortest time on the night with a 24:13, closely followed by NFCC’s Henry Lloyd-William in 24:33. Robert Sweatman rounded off the podium positions in 25:02 with Phil Grant nipping at his heels in 25:17.

Bev Hards was the fastest women on the night in 28:21, Emma Clayton in second with a 29:18, Jess Fitzwarren at 30:01 followed by visitor Kath Buck in 30:43.

It was excellent to see so many riders out to take part, especially those who enjoyed this as their first time trial… A big thanks to you all for supporting the first Road Bike TT  Event. We look forward to seeing you all again on the 10th of may for a challenge on P170/10, hopefully!

As always, thanks to those that volunteer their time to assist with entries & sign-on, time keeping, photography, safety signage and marshalling – we couldn’t do it without you.
