Sonia Breaks 10 Record
Sonia Laurie has broken the almost 30 year old overall female 10 mile TT record held by Christine Lacey. Chris’s record of 24.22 was set in July 1991, course unknown. Sonia set the record on the P881 in a time of 23.38, also breaking her own year old veteran female record of 25.22.
Other NFCC riders Aron Kelly (20.21), Mike Akers (21.30) and Gary Lock (21.53) also rode. Aron was disappointed with his time, having spent some time recently in a wind tunnel, testing his aero position. He’s now mostly reverted back to his old position, as his power output suffered with the new one.
