A change to the norm this week as we are planning a circuit of the Isle of Wight. Plan is to get the 0900 ferry from Lymington that arrives in Yarmouth at 0940. Unless the wind changes significantly we will make a clockwise circuit of the island that is about 110Km and includes over 1600M of climbing.

Route will head eastwards and make a ferry crossing at Cowes after about an hour. We will then plan to stop for lunch in Bembridge. We will then make our way west to The Needles for an optional ice cream as a reward for climbing up to the battery at Alum Bay. Then back to Yarmouth, for either the 1605 or 1705 ferry. Suggest booking the 1705 it’s usually fine to get an earlier one.

For those wanting to get home earlier there is the option to cut a corner at Freshwater Bay and get back to Yarmouth a little sooner.
