Wessex Cyclocross League 2023/24

Saturday evening saw the prize giving for the outgoing Wessex Cyclocross season which started in 27 degrees at a dusty Clanfield and finished with a decidedly muddier and chillier day at Crow. The 13 rounds took riders as far afield as Reading and Bristol with some truly memorable racing along the way.

New Forest CC representation was up on previous years with 9 different riders taking to the start in the red, green and white.

Not only were NFCC out in more numbers than previous years but club riders finished extremely well in the league tables.

Standout performances from Jay Tarrant, Emma Shepherd and Catherine Pascoe saw them finish 4th, 3rd and 2nd in their respective categories. Jay also received recognition as one of a select few to complete every Wessex League race this year.

Chapeau to Reece Dawson who competed in his first Cyclocross Races this year, hopefully the first of many.

Well done to everyone who rode, marshalled, and supported another year in one of the best CX leagues around.
