![]() RCR Goodwood Summer Series Rd.7Another night out in the breakaway for Phill Brown to secure 10th place at round 7 of the RCR Goodwood Summer Series. A strong break formed after the first lap or two and Brown put in a big dig to make his way across to the group of 7 up the road. With Phill clinching 5th place in both mid-race primes, the breakaway was doomed and caught by a reduced bunch with 2.5 laps to go. Brown hung on to the group and finished in 10th place on the night. |
![]() Sunday Club RideBolstered by the return of many Pyrenean veterans, turnout for this weeks Sunday club ride was high. Two groups of approximately 12 set out in balmy weather for a loop out west. It proved a baptism of fire for James A on his first day as official group one supremo as a dozen guys rolled out who all looked like they all fancied a fast one and just to prove it left 5 minutes early. This was unfortunate for Sunday legend Steve B who arrived at 8.59, decided against chasing group 1 down and has hopefully learned a valuable lesson about timekeeping. Group two gave less of an impression of riders with ‘fire in the belly’ as we sauntered out of Brock and more like riders looking forward to getting some cake in the belly. |

a3crg Nifty FiftyNFCC’s Time Trial aficionado Sien vdp was reported in action again at the a3crg Nifty Fifty neat Petersfield. Covering the 50 mile course in just 02h06m47s left Sien to claim the title as the fastest road bike on the day. |
![]() Southern XC finale: Isle of WightA trip to the Island this week for Jay T for the final round of the Southern XC Mountain Bike Series. An uphill grassy start with a block headwind mean it was down to just a select group of four before the hole-shot could be claimed and Jay made sure he was at the pointy end of the race. In a race of two halves (…good fun going downhill but a real struggle getting back up!) Jay managed to hang on to 4th place on the day and a solid 3rd overall for the series. |
